Ok, here is the deal.

Friday, February 13th, 2009 I may buy either a 360 OR a PS3. I'm sort of against 360 because of the high failure rate...but I'm against PS3's high price rate. But I don't have much of a choice between HD consoles (Wii isn't pure HD, sorry...and I still can't find one anyway).

SO..PS3 vs 360. What do you like about your 360/PS3 and what do you not like about it? Have you had any problems from it?

I'm also doing this to know what seems to be the most popular console among my friends so I don't get stuck out of the loop. :P Obviously that'd probably be a 360 or a Wii but I can't find a Wii and 360's making me second guess it. :/

Please only answer if you have one OR if you have played one longer than 2 weeks (seriously... I need like..some good solid facts and reviews).

I will remove negative comments.

Thanks.

Costco has Wiis fairly frequently. That's where I got mine.

There's always plenty of cross-platform game development, but at this point we've bought and played more games for the 360. We have admittedly had it for longer, but even our most recent purchases were 360. The PS3 is great if you have any intention of getting blu-ray, though. And it does have the new Ratchet & Clank which is, of course, awesome. I do believe Microsoft offers 3 year coverage on the red ring now, too.

Last year we got a 360. It was a easy choice for us since we had the money to get either one. 360 has live and it handles that very well. I get to keep up with my friends. We did get the Elite because we heard those have a less likely chance of crapping out and we also wanted the hard drive space seeing how there would be 3 of us on it. Also the 360 had a awesome selection of games and we bought movies on it too. Blueray is the only real reason to buy a PS3 (to me) so it may be awhile before I would get that. Thats my 2 cents

The high failure rate of the 360 doesn't bother me.
Microsoft provides a 3 year warranty on that particular issue and California has warranty tolling. The amount and variety of 360 games (just about any PS3 game I want is on the 360 and not vice versa). The online experience despite not completely free is completely worth the duckets too.

The 360 fails a lot, but at least it has games.
