What's a cassette?

For that matter, what's a radio?

hahaha, well actually, if you're not familiar with an authentic New York City Ghetto Blaster, this was the kind of rediculously oversized, CRAPPY SOUNDING, piece of crap 'stereo' from the mid/late 80's... The kind that kills 8 D batteries in about a half hour. It was the source of music commonly used to "break dance" to. When not sitting on the ground, it was found being carried on top of the shoulder, often at full blast volume.

Note the size of the unit as compared to the ipod in the middle.

I can't believe you can still buy one of these things brand new. I wonder what batteries it runs on.

D: Wow.

That's fucking HUGE. XD

I know what you're talking about now, I remember stuff like that from the late 80s (even though I was born in '87, things carried on over into early 90s :X).

o_o I wonder if like...we could get a bunch of those...line them up, turn them on really loud...and just cause a WALL OF SOUND that stops everything that dares get to close.

Seriously, it looks like that would be possible with something that large. :X

Ooo!

:O Noo. D: I love it. D:

And yea, it is a stereo. XD Officially, Sony named it a boombox...but I call everything a radio if it has AM/FM and a CD player and doesn't use headphones...I'm old fashioned. :X

I've never owned a Sony product outside of thier consoles, but I heard they're fucking amazing at times and that this radio (and the earbuds I picked up on the exact same day) were no exception. :O

Xplōd... I like things that explode... cool. :)
But you really should record all those cassettes to flash drive... the magnetic fields do get worse over time.
