Taking this list of parts into consideration, what OS do you think I should put on it?

I'd stick with XP until the next MS OS comes out (sometime in 2009 is what I heard) 'cause Vista is sort of the new ME.

Windows 7 (current codename) comes out in 2010. It supposedly uses less power than Vista but is basically the same with a few tweaks. Problem is, we don't know any system requirements so maybe even Vista machines can't run it.
