Had a fun day out today with [livejournal.com profile] torindkflt, we went to the mall and then met up with another friend of ours, Aiwait at the CrossRoads Mall here. We roamed around Barnes and Noble before heading over to the Radio Shack to pick up some RAM for my PC and two new power strips.

After Radio Shack, we went to the sword shop and Torin took pictures and Aiwait and I roamed around. The new shop owner was really nice and friendly and didn't mind Torin taking pictures. I like him a lot more than the other cashier guy because this guy actually talked to us and explained the history of the swords and whatnot. Also, they have trenchcoats there now!

Then, we went to Target and walked around in circles for a bit looking at stuff before going over to Best Buy. At Best Buy, we followed Aiwait around and then we went our seperate ways. Torin and I went to the WestRoads Mall and Aiwait went home.

...WestRoads is EXTREMELY expensive...and they have a lot of jewelery, shoes, and clothes there. The most expensive store there has got to be Sharper Image. Yes, I saw the Donald Trump stake thing...it didn't look very appetizing. They had SO much stuff there....for over $1,000 or more. I think I saw a chair with a radio in it for $5,000.

After Von Maur, we went downstairs (this mall has atleast three floors) and played video games at the arcade place down there. There's a big machine that is like a huge game of Tetris. If you won it, you could choose between a Wii or a 360 and a few other prizes. They even had a mini version where you could win a GBA SP and a few other prizes. Torin tried to win on the large version (which was $2 to play, btw...a $2 Wii is nice but a $2 360 is SO much better) but he got SO close to it but didn't make it. =/ I still applaud him though, that's much farther than I would've gotten. ^^; He did manage to get the Minimum Prize (which I think was a Super Ball) but the machine didn't want to despense it so we just left. =/

The next store we went into was Von Maur, another expensive store except it had lots of clothes. Like...$100 for a t-shirt. I didn't think Omaha was that expensive. Anyway, we headed to Panera Bread in the mall and I got a Asiago Roast Beef Sandwich, Lemonade, and a Baguette. They didn't have the baguette, so I got a sourdough bread instead. I LOVE that sandwich so so so much.

After Panera, we went over to a teddy bear shop and looked around. Then, we headed to Wal-Mart and picked up some groceries for my mom (but had to head to another store to get the Kosher salt and more spaghetti), then we headed back to my place.

Part II to come soon!
