Urget to Disney's Gargoyle Fans and Ryuu has a Fur Affinity account!

Like the Gargoyles show? Ever seen the one ep that Disney absolutely forbids to show? No? Then go to that link. Even if you haven't ever seen the show, then go look anyway. THIS is what needs to be shown to kids other than crap like Teletubbies. This is what they must be exposed to in order to know that violence hurts. You can download the ep there as well in unedited and uncut form as it was meant to be shown.

In other news, I have a FurAffinity Account! :D Ryuu's FA account! Yes, I do have art there. Warning, some of it is not safe for work.. ^^;;

S'funny that parents try to shelter their children from violence, sex, drugs, alcohol, etc., but sheltering them is actually the -worst- thing you could do for your kids.

I remember seeing that episode! It was (like all of the first season eps) a very good one.

And I meant in its original run when I was 10. ;)

THe series actually under went sever waves of censoring. The ORIGINAL Run of the miniseries, before the show was even decided on if it should be folowed up after the pilot, featured a scene that has since been magically 'erased' These single scenes were what got me into the series in the first place.

Basically in one scene The cop lady (forget her name) is being persuid by a SWAT team. The methods she chose to eliminate their threat were, shall we say, rather extreme. One of them she actually pounced upon and held him under water, DROWNING HIM! The second fell victim to a stray bulet and was actually shot in the face! (and killed) Bothe these scenes saw airtime only once in all history. They have been convienently swept under the carpet, burned and shredded a hundred times over :P

Another scene they may or may not show in the ORIGINAL miniseries depicted a burning zepplin. Soidiers were bailing out of it as it was flaming and sinking in the river. There was a good dozen of them still on it when it exploded! It very plainly shows several of the men being killed in the explosion! This scene however, may or may not still exist on the DVDs or in repeates of the ORIGINAL miniseries.

Gargoyles was one of the most violent 'toons ive ever seen before things started to get edited and cut away. And to this day still, youll NEVER find any Garg. themed merchandice at any of their stores or theme parks. Figure that one out :P

Ah well... cool show nonetheless. If ANYONE has the original airing of the miniseries, BACK IT UP! your holding onto gold there.

I agree, that is exactly what kids need to see. The pure naked truth of what guns can do. Not the saccarine-sweet "Tra la la all is well smile be happy nothing bad happens" image that Disney is trying to portray by banning that episode from being broadcast. Damn them...

And YAY on you getting a FA account. Let everyone see your art!
